摘要: Real-time multimedia streaming applications are increasingly using TCP instead of UCP as underlying transport protocol, however the great end-to-end delays major factor to influence quality across Internet TCP. In this paper, we point requirement for transmitting real-time video with acceptable playing performance via and present a stochastic prediction model which can predict sending-delays frames. Based on model, propose adaptive transmission scheme dynamically adjust frame rate playout buffer size according available network bandwidth. The does not require any modifications infrastructure or protocol stack only wants measure some parameters including size, loss ratio, congestion windows RTT RTO time before frames sent. proposed evaluated through extensive simulations NS-2 simulator.
