摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the rationales in design of rectal and vaginal delivery forms drugs. To attain full benefit active drug substances, it is essential that they be supplied their best possible dosage form. The rapid increase interest biopharmaceutics provides lively support for this statement. Research field progress either to improve release from well-known or develop completely new types, some which might enable a more direct target organ make better use specific absorption sites, such as skin, lymphatic vessels, mucosa. However, not always kept mind biopharmaceutical studies should result formulation, rather than beginning with it. Basic emphasize site, substance, form are, therefore, required rational development true system.
