摘要: Objective To investigate differences in risk factors for depression and anxiety, such as central nervous system involvement systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE)/mixed connective tissue disease (MCTD), by comparing youth with SLE/MCTD to peers type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1D). Study design We conducted a cross-sectional study of 50 outpatient pairs, ages 8 years above, matching subjects T1D sex age group. screened depression, suicidal ideation, anxiety using the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 Screen Childhood Anxiety Related Emotional Disorders, respectively. collected parent-reported mental health treatment data. compared prevalence rates between T1D, identified disease-specific logistic regression. Results Depression symptoms were present 23%, ideation 15%, 27% participants. Compared had lower adjusted yet poorer (24% vs 53%). Non-White race/ethnicity longer duration independent ideation. was associated poor control both groups, insulin pump use T1D. Conclusion are high undertreated Focusing on may improve their care.
