摘要: The results of deep brain stimulation (DBS) the globus pallidus internus (Gpi) in six patients with generalized, focal, and segmental dystonia are presented. Pre- postoperative assessments given for one patient generalized inherited five idiopathic or cervical dystonia. Clinical symptoms were evaluated before 3-12 months after surgery using Burke-Fahn-Marsden (BFM) rating scale primary torsion Tsui Short-Form Health Survey (SF-36) was completed by each to document preoperative health status. Also, neurological status documented video during chronic stimulation. Magnetic resonance imaging studies performed show anatomical localization electrode leads. Five showed a progressive improvement within 7 days. One Meige's syndrome no 3 months, but beneficial effects observed 12 months. On average, BFM movement scores decreased 72.5% 63%. SF-36 an average 36% according eight different categories. We conclude that high-frequency Gpi types is very effective safe treatment.
