摘要: The position of ganglion cells within a flat-mounted retina can be described with polar coordinates (r, θ). r represents distance from the optic disc (origin), and θ angle formed by line connecting retinal cell origin respect to fixed reference (i.e., axis). Thus, denotes ceil along circumferential radial line. For vertebrates such as goldfish, not only disc, but it also indicates relative birthday cell. first have become postmitotic are closest most recently generated near margin. Such animals never totally postembryonic, their retinas continue grow, much like tree, addition annuli margin (Johns, 1977; Meyer, 1978).
