摘要: Tissue-Doppler echocardiography (TDE) has been introduced to quantify stress by means of assessing the left ventricular (LV) segmental myocardial velocities and excursion. The interaction between LV long- short-axis function during physical exercise not elucidated completely. aim present study was investigate function, as assessed excursions at rest its possible relationship with heart rate in healthy elderly individuals TDE. Twenty-seven underwent an test supine position on a bicycle ergometer. initial workload 30 Watts, followed 20-Watt increments every third minute. Standard echocardiographic images super-imposed colour TDE were digitized end each step. following variables studied short-axis: peak systolic velocity (PSV) excursion, isovolumic contraction relaxation times, early diastole (E'-wave) late (A'-wave) E'/A' ratio. Increments excursion long-axis more pronounced low workloads. increase those occurred mainly higher loads. improvement functions closely related rate. Shortening times only stages exercise. An ratio exercise, whereas this unchanged short-axis. In conclusion, behave differently, increases are changes Therefore, interpretation findings echocardiography, these facts have be taken into account.
