摘要: There have been many attempts to define eye dominance in normal subjects, but limited consensus exists, and relevant physiological data is scarce. In this study, we consider two different behavioral methods for assignment of dominance, how well they predict fMRI signals evoked by monocular stimulation. Sighting was assessed with standard tests, the Porta Test, a 'hole hand' variation Miles Test. Acuity tested chart computerized test grating acuity. We found agreement between sighting acuity assigning our individual subjects. then compared response generated dominant stimulation that non-dominant eye, according both methods, 7 The stimulus consisted high contrast hemifield alternating no blocked paradigm. separate scans, used techniques label borders visual areas V1, V2, V3, VP, V4v, V3A, MT. These regions interest (ROIs) were analyze each area separately. percent change BOLD signal stronger as defined method, effect significant located ventral occipital territory (V1v, V2v, V4v). contrast, based on produced interocular differences. conclude differences subjects exist, may be predicted measures.
