摘要: Richness, endemism and conservation of Colombian mammals. We update the list mammal species based upon a new revision specimens in major collections within outside country compilation recent taxonomic changes present country. The result these is total 492 native species, which represents net increment 62 with respect to previous published year 2000, this exceeds similar updates other Neotropical countries. Although level knowledge differs greatly between groups, we provide some general indicators, as diversity on orders, endemism, patterns distribution, state. greatest richness occurs orders Chiroptera (198 spp.) Rodentia (122 spp.), but there are 23 endemic rodents contrast only seven bats. According nature scale evaluations, 39 (MAVDT) 52 (IUCN) mammals considered be endangered. threats still deforesta- tion, hunting illegal commerce.
