摘要: Scanning electron microscopy was used to evaluate surface characteristics of periodontitis-exposed instrumented human cementum and dentin surfaces following topical application tetracycline HCl (TTC). Specimens were randomly assigned sterile saline for 1 minute (control); TTC (10 mg/ml) 4 minutes, respectively; (100 and-4 respectively. Solutions applied with a cotton pellet using burnishing technique. Control specimens exhibited an amorphous irregular smear layer. treatment resulted in relatively debris-free, nonhomogeneous surface. The 4-minute exhibiting densely fibrillar, matlike texture. Dentin conditioned showed smooth many tubule openings partially occluded by debris. exposed 3-dimensional network intertubular peritubular collagen fibrils. No consistent morphologic differences...
