摘要: The first humans entered South America between 10,000 and 15,000 years ago (Willey, 1978). By about b.p., had reached Tierra del Fuego presumably occupied the whole continent. At beginning of this continental colonization, were hunter-gatherers (Martin, 1973) undoubtedly remained so for at least a few millenia more. Both their ecological setting social organization would have reflected fact. physiography, climate, biota continent incredibly diverse, however, that any sort long-term habitation inevitably entailed severe adjustments in life-style to accomodate local conditions different areas. It seems probable sociocultural radiation begun even as began penetrate rain forests, scale cordilleras, wander grasslands. Social adaptation was slow fitful process, but by time early European explorers arrived, already exhibited rich variety cultural adaptations, diversity keeping with underpinning variety.
