摘要: Treatment failure in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) is mainly due to local and regional recurrence at present lacks a marker identify such cases. VEGF, potent endothelial cell mitogen vascular permeability-inducing agent, plays critical role tumor growth neo-vascularisation. VEGF expression was assessed 103 NPC 26 benign adenoid lesions by immunohistochemistry Epstein Bar Virus (EBV) presence PCR using primers directed against EBNA-1 gene. The localization of the virus tumour cells confirmed situ hybridization EBER hybridization. Over seen 67% Higher EBV positive tumours related higher rate recurrence, nodal positivity lower survival. This first report evaluating correlation between levels, status Indian NPC. results point towards potential pattern as for early diagnosis metastastic also show that up regulation VEGF.
