Elastic Constants of KF from 300° to 4.2°K

摘要: Measurements of the elastic constants from 300°−4.2°K have been made on single crystals potassium fluoride. The values at 4.2°K are c11 = 7.585±0.8%, c44 1.293±0.8%, and c12 1.473%±3% in units 1011 dyn/cm2. Debye temperature (θ0) 0°K as calculated is 327°K. lattice energy to be 194 kcal/mole.
