摘要: Abstract Ethnopharmacological relevance Chelidonium majus L (Papaveraceae) is widely used in alternative medicine for treatment of various disorders. Antitumor activities alkaloids isolated from this plant have been reviewed, while there are only a few studies that examine properties the whole extract. Aim study The aim present was to investigate direct cytotoxic effects, as well indirect antitumor effects ethanolic extract against different tumor cell lines,. Materials and methods MTT SRB assays were performed estimate human lines A549, H460, HCT 116, SW480, MDA-MB 231 MCF-7 peripheral blood mononuclear cells healthy individuals. Cell cycle analysis by flow cytometry. Type death induced determined cytometry morphology assessment. Inhibitory effect on migration cancer assessed wound healing assay. Results showed selective time- dose-dependent increase cytotoxicity all six lines, with individual line sensitivities. Extract promoted arrest apoptosis. Cotreatment doxorubicin enhanced drug. Also, inhibitory shown non-toxic concentration. Conclusions These results indicate possible usefulness crude therapy, whether through its effect, prevention metastasis, or adjuvant therapy.
