摘要: OBJECTIVE: An empirical investigation was done to determine if there are age-related differences attributable costs in reliance on a decision aid. BACKGROUND: Costs of aid may affect the Older and younger adults not perceive respond dynamic cost structure equally or objectively. METHOD: Sixteen older (65-74 years) 16 (18-28 performed counting task with an imperfect Two types were manipulated: (a) error (CoE) (b) verification (CoV). The percentage trials which participants agreed did perform manually recorded as reliance. Results: Participants decreased their CoE increased lower CoV; however, they tended underrely Younger change behavior more than changing structure. CONCLUSIONS: appear interpret differently, being less responsive changes costs. have been able monitor hence adapt them well adults. APPLICATION: Designers aids should consider explicitly stating associated aid, individuals differ how Language: en
