摘要: PURPOSE: To analyze the results of recall absent schoolchildren to eye health projects. METHODS: Cross-sectional study. Visual screening was performed in attending 1st 4th grades at public schools, from 7 10 years-old, select and forward complete ophthalmic evaluation. The projects were during weekends, a school, same municipality. Free transportation, food eyeglasses offered. A second opportunity examination offered students who first call, with facilities. RESULTS: 51,509 had their vision tested, 14,651 (28.4%) referred for examination. Of these, 8,683 (59.3%) attended 2,228 (37.3%) 25.5% parents did not take children need 23.8% 32.0% recall, respectively. increased coverage 15.2% (59.3% 74.5%). CONCLUSION: An expressive number (25.5%) bring be examined, even exam. facilities offered: access, free examination, transportation glasses. Children appeared greater eyeglasses.
