Uterine size and endometrial thickness and the significance of cystic ovaries in women with pelvic pain due to congestion.

摘要: In a group of 55 women with chronic pain due to pelvic congestion measurement by ultrasound revealed they had larger uterus and thicker endometrium as compared normal matched for age, parity the presence polycystic ovaries found on scanning. Many (56%) were have cystic changes in their which ranged from classic pattern appearance clusters 4-6 cysts bilaterally enlarged ovaries. It is suggested that uterine enlargement thickening are caused oestrogen, either effects target organs an increased concentration or hypersensitivity oestrogen.
