摘要: There are four reviews in this section; two of these relate to prostate cancer, one paediatric urology, and bladder function. The cancer mini-reviews concern important areas that talking points urological oncology. Multidisciplinary team management, which is a very attractive idea many, remains controversial the eyes some. This concept discussed detail, as another idea, use high-intensity focused ultrasound treatment cancer. OBJECTIVE To determine how reliability frequency-volume charts (FVCs) vary with their duration when used assess patients lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) whether influences patient compliance. METHODS Peer-reviewed studies involving LUTS were searched systematically, selected assessed for internal external validity statistical quality. Details type FVC summarized, coefficients levels compliance extracted commonly variables. RESULTS In all, 13 considered meet review criteria; they FVCs lasting 1, 2, 3 7 days. 3- 7-day generally >0.8; those shorter tended be lower, but strong conclusions could not drawn due study limitations. was no obvious relationship between level compliance. CONCLUSIONS Strong recommendations cannot made about what an should or monitor LUTS. current consensus on using ≥ 3 days seems most defensible policy, more research high quality required, especially into compliance.
