摘要: Comparison of 11 white clover genotypes revealed a 3-fold variation in taproot diameter, and proportion fibrous roots to total root dry weight varied from 0.45 1.00. Shoot type, determined by leaf size, was positively correlated with diameter number vertically penetrating (r=0,86 0.95 respectively, P<.001, df=9), but negatively (r=-0.87, P<0.001, df=9). Three cycles selection for were carried out one population, response 2.4% per cycle. Divergent ratio (proportion plant weight) done two different populations. The impact the divergent selections on performance assessed under grazing drought-prone environment controlled-environment study, respectively. Selection medium size large gave yields 70% better moist conditions 35% than that standard cultivar, Grasslands Huia. increased also effective improving growth survival drought prone environments. specific characteristics has improved yield persistence
