摘要: White clover (Trifolium repens L.) is an important pasture legume in temperate regions, but growth often strongly reduced under summer drought. Cloned individuals from a full-sib progeny of pair cross between two phenotypically distinct white populations were exposed to water deficit pots outdoor conditions for 9 weeks, while control maintained at field capacity. Water decreased leaf potential by more than 50% overall, increased the levels flavonol glycosides quercetin (Q) and ratio kaempferol (QKR) 111% 90%, respectively. dry matter (DM) 21%, with most productive genotypes controls showing greatest proportional reduction. The displayed significant increase root : shoot 53% deficit. Drought-induced changes plant morphology associated Q, not (K) glycosides. high QKR their DM production least Q glycoside most. These data show, individual genotype level, that accumulation response stress can be positively retaining higher production.
