摘要: Glucose transporter 4 (GLUT4) is responsible for the uptake of glucose into muscle and adipose tissues. Under resting conditions, GLUT4 dynamically retained through idle cycling among selective intracellular compartments, from whence it undergoes slow recycling to plasma membrane (PM). This dynamic retention can be released by command signals elicited insulin other stimuli, which result in 2-10-fold increases surface level GLUT4. Insulin-derived promote translocation PM a specialized compartment termed storage vesicles (GSV). Much effort has been devoted characterization compartments dynamics sorted into, recruited from, GSV. review summarizes our understanding traffic during its internalization membrane, slow, constitutive recycling, regulated exocytosis response insulin. In spite specific differences behavior cells, generalities endocytic exocytic itineraries are consistent an array regulatory proteins that regulate each vesicular event emerges these cell systems.
