摘要: Although polyvinyl chloride has been produced from vinyl chlride monomer for more than 40 years, recognition of toxicity among polymerization workers is recent. In the mid 1960s, involved in cleaning tanks were found to have acro-osteolysis. 1974, same population was be at risk an unusual type hepatic fibrosis and angiosarcoma liver. We describe two cases chloride-associated liver injury, one angiosarcoma. Histologic features these lesions are similar angiosarcomas resulting chronic exposure inorganic arsenicals. Preliminary studies suggest that may result formation, during high-dose exposure, active metabolites by mixed function oxidases Epidemiologic indicate increased incidence not only disease, but also cancers brain, lung, possibly other organs.
