摘要: Abstract The adsorption of oxygen on the Pt(110)( l ×2) surface was investigated by electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS). At 30 K and low exposures is adsorbed as two different peroxolike molecular species in on-top twofold coordinated sites with OO stretching frequencies 860 930 cm −1 , respectively. With increasing exposure additionally a superoxo form ν = 1250 . Heating leads to partial dissociation desorption molecules. about 100 desorbs completely; peroxo begins at 125 completed 200 K. 300 atomic form, PtO vibrations 480 330 are observed.
