摘要: To investigate the relationship between visual field loss and health-related quality-of-life (HRQOL) in patients with ocular hypertension (OHT) or primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG). We conducted a cross-sectional study among 537 OHT POAG from seven hospitals The Netherlands. Clinical information was obtained medical files. Patients completed questionnaire, containing generic HRQOL instruments (EQ-5D Health Utilities Index mark 3), vision-specific National Eye Institute Visual Functioning Questionnaire (VFQ-25), glaucoma-specific Glaucoma Quality-of-Life questionnaire (GQL-15). impact of on scores analysed multiple linear regression analyses. A mean deviation (MD) found after adjusting for age, gender, acuity, medication side effects, laser trabeculoplasty, surgery. interaction MD both eyes GQL VFQ-25 scores. utility non-linear, only affected at MD-values below −25 dB better eye. surgery independently HRQOL. Binocular eye had similar impacts HRQOL, whereas worse an independent effect. more by binocular defects inferior than superior hemifield. progressing is associated disease-specific quality-of-life. It important to prevent progression, early advanced glaucoma, especially hemifield severe either
