摘要: Positive psychological aspects of well-being-including positive emotions, optimism, and life satisfaction-are increasingly considered to have protective roles for cardiovascular disease (CVD) longevity. A rapidly-growing body literature has linked well-being with better health, lower incidence CVD in healthy populations, reduced risk adverse outcomes patients existing CVD. This review first examines evidence on the associations mortality, focusing recent epidemiological research as well inconsistent findings. Next, an overview is provided putative biological, behavioral, stress-buffering mechanisms that may underlie relationship between health. Key areas future inquiry are discussed, addition emerging developments capitalize technological methodological advancements. Promising initial results from randomized controlled trials suggest efforts target serve valuable components broader management programs.
