摘要: Large tracts of lowlands have been drained to expand extensive agriculture into areas that were historically categorized as wasteland. This expansion in necessarily coincided with changes ecosystem structure, biodiversity, and nutrient cycling. These impacted not only the landscapes which they occurred, but also larger water bodies receiving runoff from land. New approaches must append current efforts toward land conservation restoration, continuing impacts waters is an issue major environmental concern. One these agricultural drainage management. article reviews how this approach differs traditional efforts, specific practices management state knowledge on ecology ditches. A bottom-up utilized, examining effects stochastic hydrology anthropogenic disturbance primary production diversity producers, special regard given can affect establishment macrophytes alter their environment ways serve mitigate non-point source pollution promote biodiversity waters.
