摘要: Recent discussions of correlations between global climatic change and evolution the African Plio-Pleistocene biota have revealed apparent discrepancies timing significance events recorded in different data sets. The most notable differences occurred relation to a major shift ratio marine oxygen isotopes by 2.5 myr claims for causally related transition biota. Vegetational changes palaeo sol stable isotope values suggest that increase more open vegetation occurs later - 1.7 myr. We investigate problem with particular reference at extinctions machairodont cats take place their aftermath, since such eurytopic taxa are likely mark significant conditions. compare pattem those similar or identical Eurasia New World, environmental is clearly indicated each case.
