摘要: OBJECTIVE: To determine the ideal angle for making distal femoral cut in total knee arthroplasty a Brazilian population.METHODS: Panoramic radiographs of lower limbs bearing weight from 79 patients (57 women and 22 men) were studied, totaling 107 knees with an indication arthroplasty. The anatomical axis, mechanical axis cervical-diaphyseal traced out. was determined meeting point between axes. degree valgus compared men presenting varus alignment limb. also correlated angle.RESULTS: ranged 4.2 to 8.6 degrees, mean 6.3 degrees. There no statistically significant difference coronal (p = 0.180). Comparing women, there regarding groups 0.057). presented inverse relationship cut.CONCLUSIONS: axes degree. Neither preoperative nor sex had any influence on cut.
