摘要: The aim of this report is to present preliminary results and experiences using an ultrasonic bone-cutting device in bilateral sagittal split osteotomies the mandible (BSSRO) with particular attention possible damages inferior alveolar nerve (IAN). Seven patients class II or III malocclusion were treated by BSSRO a conventional combined orthognathic surgical approach. osteotomy was carried out device. Subjective neurosensory deficits assessed on 14 sides. Compared techniques saws, chisels burs, use more time-consuming, but at high level precision. In addition, procedure offered advantage blood-free field thus provided good control procedure. disturbances IAN showed continuous decrease from 57.1% (eight sides) 2 months after 14.3% (2 5 7.1% 7 BSSRO. Within seven pilot study associated low. A terms protection subject prospective study.
