摘要: Glycan structures on glycoproteins are controlled by several factors such as regulated expression of glycosyltransferases and glycosylhydrolases, well regulation glycoprotein expression, folding, transport through the ER Golgi. In cancer, for example, glycosylation can be significantly altered due to changes in levels a result oncogene activated signaling pathways coupled with gain or loss chromosome copy number. Cumulatively these exported cell surface extracellular region glycan that lead significant phenotype. Therefore, it is advantageous able capture identify proteins express particular glycans classes glycans. this report, we discuss extraction methods lectin methodology used enrich mass spectrometry specific change response disorders diseases, presence malignancies.
