Repairs by Trephination and Suturing of Longitudinal Injuries in the Avascular Area of the Meniscus in Goats

摘要: Trephination may encourage healing of a tear in the avascular area meniscus, but not be complete unstable tears. We studied trephination with suture longitudinal injuries medial meniscus 20 goats; samples were at 3, 8, and 25 weeks. All tears treated by completely (4 samples) or partly (16 healed. The average tensile strength healed repair was 40.4 kg/cm 2 level DNA synthesis tissue ingrowth decreased time; synthetic activity also found chon drocytes menisci alone.
