摘要: A sampling and analysis program has been completed between 1995 1998 in order to determine mercury concentrations water, sediments, soils fish the Piracicaba river basin, one of most populated industrialized regions Brazil. In sediment, average Hg varied 33 ± 17 ng g−1 106 78 g−1, samples collected during rainy dry season, respectively. The same averages were also found for soil (35 14 109 61 g−1). total concentration < 1.1 24.0 L−1. piscivore fish, up 943 μ g kg−1 was found. Our results show that all compartments undergo contamination, view levels pristine environments. Water contamination seems be due mainly diffuse processes erosion suspension bed sediment season. Also untreated wastewaters generated by industrial activities from domestic sewage appear potential non-point sources part basin. On other hand, atmospheric transport originating Campinas Metropolitan Region could another source especially basin headwaters.
