摘要: Abstract The spacial distribution of groundwater discharge into the littoral zone Lake Rotorua (New Zealand) was determined by direct measurement. Discharges at two stations on eastern shore were found to be 2.8 and 5.0 times greater than that any other five gauged. On transects right angles shoreline, flow rate varied inversely with depth distance from shore. maximum recorded 127.5 l m −2 day −1 , minimum 2.7 . It is concluded technique employed could an extremely useful tool when investigating lakes.
