摘要: This study used the findings that lake temperatures from processed thermal infrared data can be to identify possible inflow zones of groundwater into a lake. Spatial and temporal temperature anomalies are assumed indicate National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer scenes Lake Victoria catchment for different seasons 2004 were acquired, analyzed. The surface maps produced this indicated two major seasonal patterns distribution compared measured temperatures. These warm cold season indicative Ground truth studies attempted ascertain these inferences imagery without much success due various limitations. It is however hoped preliminary assessment will serve as starting point recommended more detailed investigations including subsurface outflow. Critical evaluation water balance only made after conclusive on often ignored component accomplished.
