摘要: Introduction The ageing of the population represents a significant challenge for aged care in Australia and many other countries internationally. In an environment increasing resource constraints, new methods, techniques evaluative frameworks are needed to support allocation decisions that maximise quality life well-being older people. Economic evaluation offers rigorous, systematical transparent framework measuring efficiency, but there is currently no composite mechanism incorporating people’s values into measurement valuation assessment economic evaluation. addition, date relatively few evaluations have been conducted despite large potential benefits associated with their application this sector. This study will generate preference based person-specific instrument designed co-created from its inception Methods analysis A candidate descriptive system be developed by synthesising findings series in-depth qualitative interviews 40 people receipt services about salient factors which make up life. tested construct validity, practicality reliability independent sample (n=100). Quality state tasks using best worst scaling (a form discrete choice experiment) then undertaken representative receiving across five Australian states (n=500). multinomial (conditional) logistical used analyse responses scoring algorithm preference-based instrument. Ethics dissemination wide applicability assessing cost effectiveness service innovations spectrum care. Results disseminated ageing, research health economics journals through professional conferences policy forums. has reviewed Human Research Committee University South ethics approval (Application ID: 201644).
