Adaptation to climate change: the attitudes of stakeholders in the livestock industry

摘要: It is now widely accepted that climate change happening and future changes will impact on many aspects of society, including agriculture. To maintain food supplies, the agricultural industry must address adaptation. Key to this attitudes those within likely have responsibility for adapting. This study investigated stakeholder towards adaptation in livestock industry. Findings reveal four attitudinal groups. First, there a ‘farmer-focused group’ has positive attitude about ability farmers adapt change, but also opinion they need additional support adapt. Second, an ‘incentive enterprise, anti-GM (genetic modification) with position stressing government should role implementing regulations providing finance. group negative GM technology does not think it be answer change.
