摘要: Background The dog erythrocyte antigen (DEA) 1 blood group system remains poorly defined. Objectives The purpose of the study was to determine DEA mode inheritance and characterize alloantibodies. Animals Canine research colony families, clinic canine patients, 1.2+ bank dogs were studied. Methods Canine typed by flow cytometry immunochromatographic strips using anti-DEA monoclonal antibodies. Gel column experiments with polyclonal immunoblotting antibodies performed analyze select samples. Cross-reactivity human typing reagents against RBC one antibody panels assessed. Results Typing 12 families comprising 144 indicated an autosomal dominant ≥ 4 alleles: 1− (0) 1+ weak (1+), intermediate (2+), strong (3+ 4+). Samples from 6 previously as or Human produced varied reactions in tube agglutination RBC. Polypeptide bands not detected on immunoblots a antibody, therefore may be specific for conformational epitopes lost during processing. Conclusions The alleles indicates complex system; antigenicity each type will need determined. The biochemical nature antigen(s) appears different systems tested.
