摘要: In vitro conditions are defined for starting and maintaining callus suspension, cells from two cotton (Gossypium hirsitum L.) varieties, Im 216 Acala 44, which resistant susceptible, respectively, to the bacterial pathogenXanthomonas malvacearum (E. F. Sm.) Dows. A light, friable was easily obtained has been maintained over 4 years. Whether stems or leaves, explant source initiation made no difference growth of tissue. 44 had a fresh-weight doubling time 5 days, 9 days; however, in suspension culture times were 6 days. The pH medium dropped 4.7 during exponential phase rose 5.4 at stationary phase. Attempts induce root shoot these unsuccessful; greening tissue did occur. Schenk Hildebrandt used both cultures. Inoculation tissues with races ofX. resulted susceptible response, respectively.
