摘要: Pavement smoothness was recently identified as the most significant factor motoring public uses to judge quality of roadways. A new generation lightweight profilers has been developed with a potential providing nearly instantaneous measurements that provide contractors tool identify and address process control issues promptly cost effectively. The technology evaluated assess repeatability reproducibility devices, well for their use in Indiana. successful field test conducted, four ASTM Class I performing five replicate at each six sites; three hot mix asphalt portland cement concrete sites. precision devices determined accordance standards also revealed good but poor reproducibility. Smoothness specifications other states were reviewed light application draft specification based on INDOT.
