摘要: There is an urgent need for accurate measurement of pavement smoothness. A recent profiler round-up compared the performance 68 profilers on five test sections at Virginia Smart Road. This investigation used a sample data collected during experiment to compare profiles and International Roughness Index (IRI) measured each type equipment with other reference. These comparisons allowed determination accuracy repeatability capabilities existing equipment, evaluation appropriateness various criteria, recommendations usage criteria different applications.
