Yb3+ to Er3+ energy transfer in LiNbO3

摘要: The energy transfer between and ions in lithium niobate is investigated modelled using the rate equation formalism. An efficient from to found back-transfer coefficients have been determined ( , respectively). Using formalism it shown that population inversion of level (upper laser at ) attainable sufficiently low pumping levels, making this material suitable for applications. effective efficiency also calculated, showing good agreement with experimental values obtained increase emission.
