摘要: Condition monitoring of overhead power lines is usually done by means on-ground and helicopter-aided visual inspection. Therefore, the intervals between inspections can be months or even years. In contrast, online condition provides a 24/7 observation better accuracy than remote monitoring. With energy harvesting from electric field that surrounds conductor, system operate as soon line turned on. Quantities interest comprise distance conductor ground (or other objects), temperature, degree icing vibrations others. The measurement data transmitted to relay station, e.g. using 433 MHz ISM band, utilizing GSM UMTS mobile phone networks. This paper presents concept, preliminary investigations on capacitive sensor.
