摘要: Basalts associated with sapphire deposits are widespread in Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia. In Vietnam, blue, green yellow sapphires recovered from eluvial alluvial placers hosted basaltic fields of the Dak Lak Province. Two distinct basalt suites recognized this field: a tholeiitic suite without any xenocrysts an alkaline mantle lower crustal xenocrysts. The enriched Fe (0.43 to 1.26 wt.%), moderate contents Cr (33-1582 ppm), Ti (35-1080 Ga (149-308 ppm) V (28- 438 they poor Zn Mg. Their O-isotope compositions range 6.0 6.9 parts per thousand not equilibrium alkali basalts which have delta(18)O values between 5.0 5.7 thousand. U-Pb dating zircons provides evidence two eruptional events: one at similar 6.5 Ma followed by another 1 Ma. petrography oxygen isotopic composition suggest that crystallized deep magma chamber, continental lithosphere upper boundary, evolved melts issued fractionation magmas contaminated fluids.
