摘要: Vaccination provides a powerful means to control infections. It exploits and exemplifies the ability of immune system preserve information that specific pathogen has been encountered in past. The cells molecular mechanisms immunological memory are still being discussed controversially. Here, we review current concepts B cells, signals involved their maintenance, role enhanced secondary reactions. Memory plasma secreting protective antibodies over lifetime, have recognized only recently. Their characterization as resting terms proliferation migration, surviving dedicated stromal niches, absence antigen, generated new how general organized by stroma 'resting memory'. In autoimmunity chronic inflammation, can be essential players, they require special attention, do not respond most conventional therapies. selective targeting will depend on understanding lifestyle.
