摘要: Objective: To determine the morbidity and mortality associated with a large series of patients undergoing craniofacial resection at one institution. The is also analyzed respect to pathology, disease recurrence, role adjuvant therapy. Design: Retrospective review mean follow-up 3 years (range, 6 months 8 years). Setting: Tertiary care, urban referral center. Patients: study included 73 consecutive (39 male 34 female). Ages ranged from 13 78 53.1 years. All had benign or malignant tumors paranasal sinuses. Main Outcome Measures: Morbidity was categorized as follows: early (within 30 days surgery) late (>30 days); neurologic, ocular, infectious. Results: Overall rate 63%, 2.7%. Of who complications develop, 26 development major morbidities there were two mortalities. most common transient alteration in mental status (15 patients), diplopia (11 cerebrospinal fluid leak (10 osteomyelitis frontal bone flap (eight patients). Conclusions: Craniofacial an effective surgical treatment for sinus tumors. acceptable appears directly related experience procedure. Infectious devastating.
