摘要: Small-scale disturbance is a significant process in all major forest biomes. Some silvicultural practices, particularly group selection harvesting, intend to emulate natural small-scale by harvesting small clearcuts the continuous forest. We conducted meta-analysis on effects of North American breeding birds. extracted species richness and relative abundance several functional bird groups guilds from published studies compared them between gap-dominated unlogged as function type size age gap. The many was higher than Species preferring interior parts had most negative association with presence gaps but this relationship not statistically significant. Abundances increased increasing gap size, while its effect some disappeared quickly. Our review s...
