摘要: Background Disasters in modern times have transcended borders of nations and class a devastating impact terms human material losses. As the recent tsunami demonstrated, disasters can take diverse regions unawares wreak havoc on hapless populace. Global initiatives for disaster preparedness reduction should, therefore, be given highest priority by international community.
