摘要: This article assesses and explains the level of climate policy integration (CPI) in EU’s energy sector, challenges widespread assumption that a high CPI has been achieved this sector. We introduce conceptualisation outline an analytical framework to explain levels CPI, drawing on environmental Policy Integration (EPI) literature theories European integration. thus add conceptual value by bringing strands EPI together situating them broader analyse two cases policy: renewable (RE) EU policies gas pipelines. argue even relatively climate-friendly RE case, remains insufficient reach long-term objectives. virtually absent import pipeline policy. The lack may remain hidden without taking perspective. explanatory helps us understanding differences between cases. serious consideration objectives process is fundamental for occurrence CPI.
