摘要: Background The occurrence of personality disorder among community supervised offenders may have important implications for their management. There is, however, a dearth contextual information on in such populations. Aims This study aimed to identify demographic, substance use and forensic features that distinguish community-sentenced with from those without. Methods One hundred seventy-three under supervision were screened using the Standardised Assessment Personality – Abbreviated Scale. Alcohol drug misuse, demographic data also recorded. Results Nearly half sample (82, 47%) had probable disorder. Compared without disorder, they younger, more likely be unemployed, less divorced, been convicted robbery alcohol or illicit misusers, as well rehabilitation requirements. Multivariate analyses confirmed only abuse independently associated this group, latter was significant. Conclusions In broadly representative serving sentences defined geographical area, not attract higher risk recidivism ratings, but problems heavy and/or misuse.
