摘要: This work reports on photothermal lens spectra of silver nanoparticles different dimensions in the spectral region 370-730 nm performed using an arc-lamp-based spectrophotometer. We show that and extinction cross-section samples are similar for reduced where scattering effects small. The results differ substantially a diameter larger than 30 nm which becomes relevant. demonstrate spectrum corresponds to absorption component particle's extinction. Photothermal clear picture plasmonic peaks nanoparticle even presence high scattering. By subtracting from total extinction, we extract nanoparticles. technique allows determination components providing better understanding optical properties. agree well with Mie approximation, is valid single spherical nanoparticle. discuss application method characterize particles arbitrary shape dimensions.
