摘要: The YIGSR (Tyr-Ile-Gly-Ser-Arg) peptide, derived from the laminin β1 chain, decreases tumor metastasis and growth in experimental animals. mechanism responsible for this inhibition is not known. We now report that a 16-mer branched form of YIGSR, synthesized by multimeric antigen peptide system, induced apoptosis HT-1080 cells vitro at 30 µg/ml (approximately 3 µm). Tumor treated with showed expected morphological changes associated apoptosis, acridine orange staining nuclei, increased numbers 3′-OH ends DNA ladder pattern on agarose gels, transforming factor mRNA Northern blot. specificity was confirmed neutralizing antibody to peptide. In addition, peptides scrambled sequence did induce apoptosis. Our results suggest may play role antimetastatic antitumor effects
